Q in the life part two

“Q log,i have assumed human form. I am pretending to be a teran star fleet officer. I came on duty right as the day shift began. I am hear to observe a day in the life of the enterprise.this is no ordinary day. ”
“It began ordinary enough. The crew changed shifts. The day operations took over. Then it all changed. ”
“A convoy of ships heading to the baltair sector was attacked by a expansionest imperial race known as the asana. ”
“In what one could call the prime universe ,although that is inacurate,for the perpose of a frame of reference,was not a major force. About 50years before the enterprise lunched,the cardesiens checked the asana by winning the battle of nociber. In this universe, the asana pushed the cardesiens out of the nociber system. They then pushed though. They took several colonial worlds including bajor. ”
“The asana have become a regonal power. They are on course to be a qudrent power. The baltair sector is far from the asana spehere of influence. That is the mystery. One of manny.”
“I have a visuel on the battle!”lt yar reported. “On screen !”jack ordered. Yar activated the view screen. The convoy ships were attacked by multiple asana battle crushers. “We will be in fireing range in five minutes!”lt.jg. worf reported.
The enterprise moved in closer. The enterprise got closer and closer. “Now in range!”worf reported.”open fire!”jack ordered.
The enterprise fired phasers and photon torpedoes at multiple targets.

“Its the enterprise?”the tactical officer reported. “Excellent ! I hoped it would be! “Admiral keriek declared.
U.s.s enterprise

“Send a general hail. Advise the asana ships to back off! “The captain ordered. “Sending!” Yar said. 
“We are being advised to back off!” The com officer informed the commander.The bridge crew laughed.
“Send our response !” The admiral said. The asana vessels fired on the enterprise.
“I gues that is there response !”rycer said. “I gues so. I figured it would be. “Jack said. “I figured that would be the case as well. We had to try'”rycer said.
“Shields holding! ” Yar reported. The ships returned fire on the asana vessels. The escort vessels gaurding the convoy also fired on the asana ships.
The asana ships were not detered. The asana vessels continued to pound the hostle ships. The enterprise and there alies fired back at the asana.
“We need to draw fire away from the convoy. Give them time to get away. ” Jack said.
The enterprise and escort vessels got in front of the convoy.they atempted to form a baricade between the asana ships and the convoy. The asana atempted to get pass the blokade.
The ships tried to stop the blokade. The escort ships held there ground. They worked to mantain the line. It was esential to protect the convoy.
The enterprise also fired multiple phasers and photon torpedoes at the asana warship.the enterprise hoped to overpower the hostles or convince them to back off. They were not listening yet. They would need to be more persasive.

  “Stand by to lunch our little surprise!” The commander ordered. The weapons officer activated the special turet.”on line admiral!” The gunner anounced.
“Procede with our little surprise gunner!”the admiral ordered. “With plesure!”the tactical officer exclaimed. The special turet powered up. The gun port spewed out a large mistle.
“We have incoming !” Worf reported. “Mr. Laforge,mr data evasive action!”jack ordered. The enterprise tried to veer off and avoid the mistle.
“Hear is the fun part!” Keriek said. The mistle got closer to the enterprise. The mistle apeared to have vanished.
“The mistle is gone!”worf reported. “That’s imposible”rycer exclamed. Yar and worf tried to locate it.
In a deck near the deflector dish the mistle apeared. The mistle exploded. The bulk heads kept it from spreding.
Q was to observe not to interfear. He could not just do nothing. Not this time. Q snaped his fingers. Time seamed to go backwards. He sent time back to the time before the mistle was first fired.
“Captain! We need to fire at these coordinates!”quin reported.”captain That area is not of any major system !”worf reported. “Captain this ship is not a normal run of the mill asana vessel,it is a prototype. You must do this. Quickly we are running out of time!”q pleaded. Jack thought it over.
“Tasha make it happen !”jack ordered . Yar did not get this order but she complied any way.
The enterprise fired on the asana flagship. The turet went off line. “The turet is off line!”the gunner said. “How did they know ?”first officer asked. “We were carefull! This was a heavily gaurded secret. We had the eliment of suprise! At least we thought we did!”keriek said.
“Orders!”the exo asked. “It was never about the convoy! It was only about the experiment. We must withdraw! ” keriek ordered.
The ships began to move away. They fired and move. “They are atempting to withdraw!” Worf reported.
The convoy moved away. The enterprise did not persue. The asana warship entered a wormhole. The ships were gone.
“I believe they generated a stable wormhole!”data said. “I thought stable wormholea were imposible!”deans troyi commented. “No are known to exist. Theoretically they are possible. “Data answered.
Suddenly time froze. Q turned around. He heard a loud bombing vioce. “Q you have some explaning to do!” The vioce said.
“The q is a vest comunity. We call it a continum. There is no hierarchy as humanoid define it. We do have leaders in a way. Myine is not very happy. I was to observe only. I was not to interfear. I would have to explane myself. I was not looking foward to that. Not at all!”

I had brief writers bloc. I stoped and it came to me. I like how this post came out.
All though history,one nation seamed to be poised to be a world power only to fizzle and a diffierent one to emerge. The mongels under gengis kahn were believed to be a buding power only to be over shadowed by the folowers of islam who advanced until they were checked by charles the hammer. Babylon came out of no where.
Bajor was under cardesien ocupation as it was in the prime universe. It fell to the asana.
This is the same q we all know and love. Well maybe not the love part. You know what i meen.

Q in the life

  “Log q reporting. So i am going undercover as it were. I am mascerading as a member of the enterprise crew. While pretending to be a star fleet lt seams uterly beneth someone like me,it seams the only way i can pass off as a member of the crew. It is beter then an ensign or enlisted person i gues”
“Being a ship of a thousand ,stowing away and pasing off as one of them was not that difficult. I was even able to alter the data banks and create a biography for myself. No one was the wiser. ”
“I wanted to be where the action was. I had myself assigned to the bridge. I was asigned to one of the aft station. One of those back stations that really don’t matter. At least that is my opinion but i digress. ”
“I decided not to deprive mr. Laforge on being at the helm for what promises to be a very eventfull mission. He could be useful in what is sure to be a very exciting afair. If nothing else he can calm a potentialaly tense situation with an anecdote mr. Data won’t understand but will still coment on ”
Q left his qurters. He wore a gold uniform. He perfered the burgendy but his assignment called for the gold used by suport division such as engineering and security. That was what he wore.
He joined up with several orther officers all tapped to work on the bridge during this watch.
“Good morning !”q said. “Good morning lt!” Lt jg hudson said. Several orthers said hello.
“I assume today will be eventfull!”q said. “They always are on the enterprise!”a female said. “I like it that way!”ensign bannet said. The turbo lift opened and they all entered.
“Bridge !” Hudson said. The turbo lift sped up. The new bridge crew were engaging in smal talk while the lift headed for its destination.
“I don’t understand the human’s disdain for silience. If there is more then one human in a room and no one is taking ,they assume something is wrong. Silience is considered evil or negitive. It is quite bafiling to a q.  Humans view the universe very differently. ”
“They try to fill every void. They fail to see that silience is a conversation in itself. Oh well. I gues that is there loss!”
The turbo lift opened,the bridge crew entered. The new shift releved the old. The last shift left as the day shift took over. Soon the activities began to discrease and things got to normal.
“Bill star fleet reports an odd acurence at the farpoint station .”captain jack crusher anounced. Commander rycer was taken aback by that anouncement.
“In many ways this universe is almost identical to the orther. Yet some thiings are different. Will is known as bill. I have never understood how you get bill out of wiliam any ways. Rycer is stil a dullared even in this universe. Women stil seam to like him. Something else i don’t understand.  he is not that atractive. I have met signle celled cretures more eligent then commander rycer!”
“Far point station was destroyed.some kind of energy creture attacked it. The creture took the station away. We don’t believe they were any servivors.”jack crusher said.
“Oh my. Why did they do this?”lt.yar asked. “Star fleet does not know. Star fleet command is going to confuct a full investigation. The bandi claim that they give full cooperation but star fleet is concerned about them. They did not give a lot of details. “Jack said.
“I wish i could tell them. I can’t.i cannot interfere. Not this time.this universe must go its own way. That is how it has to be. I will not interfere only observe.”
“Captain i am receving a distress call from a colonial convoy. They are heading to the baltair sector. They claim to be under attack by the asana!”yar said.
“This is a long way from asana space !”lt. Laforge said. Data declared just how far it was not realizing that that explination was not necessary.
“Mr. Laforge set course for the convoy maximum warp!”jack ordered. “Course set!” Gordi anounced. ” Engage!”jack ordered. The ship went to warp.

Isn’t it romantic part 7

“Captain’s personal log,my wife,my best friend,the love of my life has been captured by a group of bounty hunters that work for a mining consortium. Working with the local authroities,we are ready to atempt a rescue mission. ” jack said in his log.
  The strike teams had prepared to move out. The egress to the forest area was fully sicured. A command post was set up.
Some would stay behind while orthers would move out. The goal was to use overwhelming force. They would seround the hostile emcampment then seize it. Every one knew it would not be that easy. While it seamed like it would be a cake walk but jack crusher and lt. Yar knew better.
“Are you ready?” Colnel ucrat asked. “Ready as i will ever be i supose!”jack said. “Lets do it!”yar said in response.
The swat team moved out. There were multiple units. Some were on foot. Others were in vehicles specificaly designed for rough terain.
Jack was extremely aprehensive. He tried not to show it. He knew that the bounty hunters had no chance of wining. That was not his fear. He feared that they might go scorched earth. He feared bevily might get caught in the crosfire or worse.
If something happened to her,he would never forgive himself. Odd he always feared that he might be killed leaving bev to raise there children alone. Now he feared the oposite might happen. This scared him. He did not want to have to go though life without her. He calmed himself . He did not have to face that now. It had not happened. He was hopeful that it would not happen.
At the encampment bevily said little. She tried to avoid talking to her captors. She also tried to not cause any trouble. She hoped this would be over soon.
She just wanted to be back with her husband. She wanted to be back with her children,her family.she wanted this to be all over and soon.
  She did not think too much about an unfaborable outcome. She kept teling herself not to. Jack had been thorough manny troubling events and came though them. She had as well.
As a child she was on arveda three though a deadly plaugue. She and her grandmother servived though discovering erbs on the planet.
As a star fleet officer she had several trails she had to endured.she was confident that she could get through this one as well. She would try.
The bounty hunters were planing there next course of action. They knew that it was blique. They had little chance of wining. They knew it.
“Odd. We are not usually on the losing side?”bezek commented.”i know. We are not in the telcrit sector any more are we?”rulnof said. “I am glad that the telcrit system is sicure. There is that!”qozik said.
“Indeed. If we don’t catch up with shalnof,someone will. It is inevitable. He will be recaptured or killed eventually. That i know!”rulnof declared.
The asult forces got closer to the encampment. The team set up blokades. They had a staging area.
“You ok sir?”yar asked. “Not at all but that is to be expected. “Jack said. “I unserstand!” Yar said.
On ucrat’s order,the asault team stormed the area where the slavers were located. The tropers opened fire.
The slavers returned fire. Jack rushed in. He fired then ducked then fired. He stunned several of the thugs. He had to avoid being hit.
He was acting in an eratic manner. Were his wife and morther of his children not in danger,he would probably not be acting in this mannor. This was not a normal ocurence.
Yar tried to cover her captain.he was not making it easy. She was not usually a fan of the policy that mandates the exo lead the away team not the captain,but in this she suspected that he should have stayed behind. That was a mute debate at this point. She focused on the task at hand. In this case it was protecting the captain and stoping the telcrit group.
Romos,Hudson and youngblood covered yar. Yar and jack went at the thugs. Jack ran for bevily. He ducked several impact. He fired back.
“Mr. Youngblood! The merchant from alpha cenaris!” Rulnof said. “My name is crusher jack crusher. Captain of the federation starship enterprise. Your holding my wife hostege!”jack said.
Rulnof came at jack. Jack kicked him to the ground. He was about to be hit. Yar stuned rulnof.
“Jack!” Bevily said. She ran to him. He protected her. The battle came to an abrupt end.
“Captain’s log,the stand off with the talcrit group has come to an end. Most of the captors were captured. Two were killed in the raid. Fortunently none of the away team or planitary force were killed.”
Jack went over to bevily. He huged her. “Bev I’m sory. My grandmorther used to always say,’never make a promise life won’t let you keep.’ I really tried to have an acual vacation!”jack said. She kissed him. “Your fine jack! I love you. This is one aniversery i will never forget!”she said. “Next year picnic on the hollow deck! “He said. “Sounds good!’ She reaplied.
“For now i am free i supose. I suspect i will never be fully free. They won’t stop !”shalnof said. “Don’t give up. Don’t let them win!”bevily said. “I will try!”shalnof said. “I am not letting him out of my site”his wife  said. “Good idea!”jack said. “I wish you all the best!”jack said.they thanked them.

“Are we ready chief?”jack asked.”yes. There was nothing wrong with the ship witch i knew. Oh well!”chief engineer argyile said.”at least now we are sure! ” jack said. “Maybe !”argyile said. Jack laughed.
“Well time to get underway. Helm take us out of orbit. “Jack ordered.

Romos was an enterprise D security officer in “heart of glory” in that episode he was killed. He was played by stunt coordinator Dennis maddalone.
Hudson was a uncredited recurring character seen in the background during the first two seasons. He was played by dexter clay. The name was never used but apeared in the name of 1988 calander. In memory alpha he is listed as unaimed security officer.
Ensign youngblood was an uncredited character apearing in the first season of the next-generation. He was fetured in the third issue of the star trek the next-generation magazine.

  “starship log,commander wiliam rycer reporting. What was to be a romantic getaway for the captain and his wife the ships medical officer has taken an unexpected and negative turn.”
“While at a resturant in the capital’s citty,they were taken hostege by a group of slavers who suply workers for mines. While the planet’s security force has sucesfully sicured the resturant. Some of the bounty hunters esaped,they took dr. Cruser with them. ”
Outside the resterant the thugs and there captors kept moving. They were determined to get away. They headed for a wooded area.
“Move!”bezek barked to bevily. “I am not part of this. Just let me go!” Bevily demanded. “You are inocent in all this. I need you for levege!”rulnof told her.”don’t you have respect for anyone besides yourself?” She asked.
“The universe has finate resources. There is not enough to fuel the fancies for the avarice of every cretures. It is simply how it is. This reigion remote,distent has resources in abudence. It is vertily desolate. Totally open for whoever can subdue it.”rulnof said.
“It is almost perfect except for one thing!” Bezek said. “You don’t have the manpower to mine the resources !”bevily said.
“If we advrotize the need for minners it will atract the attention of competitors!”qozek said.
“Nor just that,suddenly an uninteresting reigion becomes very unteresting. You become a siting duck to the romulons,ferengi,asana,breen and any orther power. Your gold mine becomes a war zone. You kidnap people ,lure in ships. “Bevily said.
“The success of our operation depands on the use of slave labor. We have to do it this way doctor. “Rulnof told her.
“We can’t have even one esape. “Bezek said. “It is over now!”she insisted. “Hardly. We have you. We have power. As long as we do we can still salvege this situation “he said.
Resturant
  Jack was treated by one of the orther staf medical officers from the enterprise. Commander rycer,and several security officers came over to him. “Bill both the captain and first officer should not be out in the open. “Jack said.
“I agree entirely sir. You should head back to the enterprise at once!” Rycer pleaded.
“Nice try bill. There is no way i am leaving until bev is safe and sound. “Jack said.
“I figured as mutch but i had to try!” Rycer told him. “Of course. I understand your position on this but i am not buging. “Jack told rycer. “Very well!”bill answered.
The swat team commander went over to captain crusher. “Captain ! The capital is under full lockdown. Security forces and local police are seting up blokades all over the capital. We suspect that they are heading to the forest. “The leader of the swat team informed him.
“The forest is shielded from detection due to triderium deposit!”major shivest ,the seccond in command said.
“I assume the forest is going to be searched?”rycer asked. “Indeed commander! A team is perparing to go in shortly. “The leader said.
“There is no way that they can get off planet?” Rycer asked. “I don’t see how! The planet is on lockdown. “The leader said.
Shalnof and his girlfriend went over to captain crusher. “Captain i am so sory that you got caught up in all of this. This was never my intention!”shalnof told the captain.
“I know that. I don’t hold you responsible for this. Every one has the right to be free. This was not your fault!” Jack assured him.
“I apreciate your words but it is stil hard for me to acept. I can’t help feeling responsible”shalnof told him.
“I deplore the use of forced labor. Your not at fault hear. I truely believe that. The blaime lies with the telcrit group. “Jack said.
  ” i will do anything i can to help out. I want her fried as well and as soon as possible !” Shalnof said.”i apreciate that. “Jack said.
“What do you think that these people will do?”the swat leader asked.”they will atempt to leave the planet.  I suspect that they have a getaway vessel on the planet. There are probably orther ships nearby!” Shalnof told them.
“We must stop these people !”the major said. “Yes there first prority is to get off planet. If cornored they will comit suiside or they will commit homicide while comiting suiside.” Shalnof told them.
Jack’s heart sank. He felt like he had failed her. He tried not to show any emotion. He tried to mantain his stoism. It was not easy to do so. He felt that it was important to mantain at the ilusion of that control.
Jack knew one thing. He was going to go after bevily now matter what. He would make sure that she was ok.
The telcrit mining group sucesfully made it to the forest. Rulnof ordered them to stop. “This is pointless. Your crusade is not pratical. To persue one fugitive. Now your traped!”bevily told him.
“You don’t understand us. You don’t understand who we are.” Rulnof said. “I don’t think i want to. I am prety sure i do not. “Bevily answered him.
U.s.s enterprise

“Mr data do you have anything ?”jack asked over the communicator. “I am still unable to get pass the minerals that disrupt the scaners. I am atempting to get a reading sir!”data informed him. “Keep working on it. “Jack said. “I will sir!”data said.
Jack went with the security forces with hover cars. The cars moved out. The vehicles headed to the woods. The security force was not sure if rulnof had to made it to the woods. No stone would be unterned. They would be located.
The hover cars entered. Jack got off of the hover car and joined the foot patrols. Jack moved out.
Jack had his phaser in hand. There were star fleet officers who folowed the captain. “Tricorder still not working !”yar informed him. “We will have to use our natural sansors. “Jack declared. Yar agreed.
Jack tried to hear everything. He took in every smel. He took it every sounds. He heard something. This way. The team folowed jack. Ramos,youngblood and hudson were right behind him.
The team kept on going. Jack took out 24th century. Banoculers. He enlarged the image. He saw bevily. He saw the orther thugs.
“We have to do this carefully !”the colnel said. “Agreed. “Jack said. The team got prepared. They had a plan and now it was time to impliment it.

Isn’t ir romantic part five

“Medical log,personal entry. It was suposed to be a romantic getaway. It did not work out that way. While at a resturant we got caught In a cat and mouse game between bounty hunters working for a slave labaor force and a fugitive.” Bevily said in her log.
U.s.s enterprise

“Commander,i am atempting to circumvent the transport inhibitor. It is a very saphisticated system. It will take time!”lt. Commander data said. “Understood. Do what you can!” Rycer told him. “Aye sir!” Data said in agreement.
“Commander. Something is going on inside the resturant ! I am detecting masive weapons fire. ” Yar reported.
Inside the resturant,the owner of the establishment and several of the staff had rushed the hostege takers. The telcrit forces quickly responded. The force opened fire. The owner and his ilk had older non military isue phasers. The two sides clashed.
  Jack was not sure how to procede. He suspected this play was doomed to failure. Besides he did not have a phaser. He feard that the move by the staff would only make things worse..he was not sure what the answer to this was but this was not it.
The asult team outside ran inside. They fired almost imidieltly apon entry. The forces loyal to rulnof returned fire on the planitrary security forces. Shalnof took his date by the hand and they went to a safe distence. They hid in a corner. Many of the other patrones looked for a safe place to hide form the firce battle.
Several of the attackera were stuned by phaser fire. Manny on the side of the government were stunned. The security force sent in more trops.
Rulnof hated to lose. He would be warned if he lost hear and now. He would not be outsmarted by a man he viewed as a simpleton. This would not.end in defeat. If it ended in something other then victory he would die doing what he saw as.his duty. That would be how it went down.
Rulnof and several remaining thugs pulled back.  They decided to try to live another day. Rulfnif had a plan. He was ready to try to impliment it. It did have a chance of working so he would try it.
He went over to bevily. Jack ran interference. He was hit from behind . He fell to the ground. He got up but was stunned and fell to the ground. He was knocked unconscious.
Rulnof and several orthers tried to flea. They serounded bevily. “Come on miss!”bezek said. The team aimed phasers at her. Rulnof forced her to move. She reluctantly complied.
A security member saw the thugs trying to flee. They tried to interveign. They fired there phasers at the hostles.
The hostles fired back. One of the thugs threw a non lethal gasd granade. While none of the trops were efected by the gass but the trail alowed the telcrit to get to a coridor in the back.
One of the lower ranks of the group sealed one of the doors. They then moved on. They hoped to get away from the complex. They had to do it.
They made it to an egress. The door opened. They left the resturant. They ran out. They were carefull to get out. Now they had leverage. They had a hostege.
Jack had been unconscious for a few munutes. He started to wake up. He started to come around.
“Take it easy sir!” A male star fleet nurse told her. “Bevily!” Jack said. “It seams the telcrit s have doctor crusher. “He told her.

The nurse is the same one who was a recurring character during the first season. He apeared in “heart of glory”,”justice” and “skin of evil” he was played by brad zerbrist.

Isn’t it romantic part 4

“Captain’s log,my grandmother used to say don’t make promises you can’t keep. I now understand that there man is not in control of his own destiny. There are always outside factors. There are things that you cannot predict. ”
“I really wanted a romantic getaway. I wanted time alone with my wife bevily. It seams that’s not going to happen. ”
The building was fully serounded by the adaren security ministry. They sicured the area.
“Ok people ! You are all hosteges. Be calm and cooperate and we all be home before you know it!”rulnof said.
“Look! These people are inocent. Let them go!” Shalnof said. “You caused this. If you had just serendered. You refused. You caused this!” Bezek said.
“You kidnaped me. I was in an area of space where slavery was iligal. You brought me to your space witch is not recognized by any government. How did i cause this?” Salnof asked.
“The rule of law,universal rights of sencients,it is all a lie. The universe has one law,might makes right. History is writen by the winners. We got you. We will keep you. Your life ended the day you were captured. You can’t win. “Rulnof said.
“It seams you are the one that can’t win. The planet ardaren is opposed to slavery and sentient trafficking. They have a masive security and military force. You can’t win this!” Jack said.
“I don’t cace easily young blood. I fight until i can’t. Danger does not repel me. It excites me,energizes me!” Bezek said.
All of a suden a holow image apeared. Everyone was a little freaked out. Rulnof calmed every one down.
“This is supervisory agent beket huran with the ardaren security ministery. “He said.
“I am rulnof. We are with the telcrit mining group. We are engaged in figutive recovery. Under the fugitive extraction treaty of 2327,we are in our rights. “Runof said.
“No the telcrit mining group is not a recognized government or non governmentle entity. You are outnumbered. Give up!”he said.
One of runof’s thug went for bevily. Jack tried to put himself between his bride and the thugs.another thug struck jack. Jack fell to the ground. He was staring down the beril of several phasers.
Bevily was pulled up from the ground. Runof held a phaser to her temple. “I will schoot her if you do not wuthdraw your forces. She won’t be the last. ” The slaver bounty hunter declared.
“Come on. Let her go! Is it really worth it. Either this ends in bloodshed or you give up. There is really no orther option. “The supervisory agent said.
“Leave now or i will schoot!”the thug declared. Jack tried to get up but was prevented from doing so by the thugs.
“We will not withdraw completly. If you let her go we will pull back a short distence. ” The hostege negociator said. “Very well. You first!” Runof said.  The planitary security force did wuthdraw as reqauested. “We fulfilled our part of the bargun!”baket said. Runof let her go.
Bev ran away from runof. Jack pushed pass the thugs and went to bevily. He gave her a great bug hug.
“Business partner you say?” Runof asked. “Partner with banefits?” Qozok said. The thugs laughed.

Rycer was asleep. “Bridge to commander rycer.”the bridge duty officer said. Rycer was a bit grogy but came to his sencess. He hit the com button near his bed. “Go ahead!” Rycer said.

” We have atempted to beam in. They must be using transport inhibitors. “The security minister said. “Do you know how many of our people they are holding?”rycer asked.
“We believe only two. A male and female! We believe they are a romantic couple!”the minister said. “Do you have any closed circut recording outside the establishment ?”lt. Yar asked.
“Yes it can be called up from my station. “The chancellor said.
The security minister called it up. They played it back. “I’l be darned!”rycer said.
“This is not good!” Yar said. “Who is it?”the chancellor asked.”it is our captain and medical officer. “Rycer said.
” The telcrit mining group has no recognition any where. Not even with the romulons or tholiens or breen. They resent it. They do not recognize our sovrenghty either. Many hostege situation involving the t.m.g don’t end well!”the security minister said.
“Minister jalbin i would hate for anything to happen to the captain and his wife!”rycer said.
“Not would I. Many races considered the telcrit to be terorist. We do not bargain with terrorist. ” The chancellor said.
“I respect that. We have a similar policy. Do you have a plan?”rycer said.
“An armed strike force armed with phasers could go in. There may be casulties but we may be able to keep it to a minumum! “The security minister said.
“This is risky! To send in an asult team is inviting trouble.”rycer said.
“We can’t sit by while our citizen’s are thretened. “The security minister said.” “We should not act in a hastily manner!”yar said.
“I agree but we do need to prepare. I am authorizing the ministery of security to prepare operations to storm the complex. No action is to be taken until i give a direct order.”the chancellor said.
“Understood!”the minister said.”that will be all.” The chancellor said.
“Commander i will do all i can to sicure the hosteges. “The chancellor said. “I know that sir. I apreciate that. ” The commander said.
The two left the office. “This is not a good situation!”yar said. “No it is not! “Rycer said.
Inside the resturant the telcrit were getting nervous. This was not how it was suposed to happen. Now the local authorities are involved.
“You can’t win this rulnof!”shalnof said. “We let one go the entire operation is doomed. You have to be made an example. “Rulnof said.
“Eventually this will end. I doubt it will end with your side victorious. ” Jack crusher said.
“The government won’t risk the lives of the hosteges. I will win in the end. ” rulnof said.
“You would really die for this or kill for this?”shalnof asked. “You know i would. “Rulnof answered.
“What about all of you? Are you really as insane as he is?” Shalnof’s date asked.”You can’t devide us! We have an unshakible bound!”qozic said. No one was sure if that was true or not.
“What will happen ?”bev wispered to jack. “The telcrit don’t give up. I have heard of hostege situation in the past. They did not end well!” He said.”way to chear me up jack!”bevily said. “I try to be honest. “He said. “I know . I do apreciate that. There has to be a way to get out of hear in one peace !”she said.
“There is a solution to every problem. One just has to find it. One has to always be looking. I intend to do just that. “Jack declared.
Bevily trusted him. He had never let her down before. This was a difficult time. These men were not to be trifled with. She had no idea how the adaren government would react. There were so manny uncertinties.
The owner of the establishment was getting impatient. He would not sit by and do nothing. He and some of his employees decided to act.
They began to rush at the thugs. The thugs reacted. It was pure pandimonium.
“Something is going on inside there!”a troper said. “Stand by to go in!”the major in charge said.

I did not want to have rycer in this story. It did not seam to make sence to not have him so i decided to have him apear in a limited role.  Yar as security chief also seamed like she should be in this.

“Isn’t it romantic” part three

“Personal log,captain crusher reporting. I am curently on leave with my wife on the planet. We are curently at a resturant in the capital citty. We are comemorating out 17Th weding anaversery. ”
“Jack these have been the best 17 years of my life. I would not trade any of it. “Bevily said. “I have not always been the most sensitive i gues'” jack said.
“Your fine! “Bevily said.
“I know you have had to make a lot of sacrifices for me. They have not gone unoticed. “Jack said. “You have made a few for me. Look i may tease you and i still will. “She said.
At the orther table,the two talked. “You ok? You seam nervous ?”she asked. “I am fine! I’m sory jarulia,i don’t meen to be so jumpy. I really am having a good time !” He said.
She smilled. “I am too! ” she said. He was glad to hear that.
The door opened,several entered. They wore a kind of gray uniform. The man looked up. “Oh no!” He said. “Shalnof what is it?” Jarulia asked. “We have to have to get out of hear!” Shalnof declared.
“I will explain latter. We have to leave!” He said. He took her hand. They went for a back door. The solders dispersed and looked for the man.
“Over there!”a soldjer said. “He is atempting to get away! “Another said. The soldjers atempted to overrealm him. One of the soldjers fired a warning schot.
The guest and staff started to panic. “What’s going on?”bevily asked. “I am not sure!” Jack said.
Jack wondered what was going on. He hoped that it was not too serious. He did not what was turning into a magical evening into an infamous day. He tried not to fret about it now. It was not clear what was going on. Perhaps it could be cleared up quickly. He hoped so. 
“What is going on hear?” The waiter asked. “This is not your concern!” The commander of the commandos said. He pushed the waiter to the ground.
“You have no jurisdiction hear ritnof !” Shalnof said. “I have jurisdiction whever i claim it!”ritnof declared.
They serounded the man. “Please let him go? He is a kind man!” Jurilia said. “I have my orders. Shalnof you know what my order is like. For your shake and the shake of those around you,you have to give up!” Rulnof said.
Jack and bev watched the event unfold. Neither one had a clue what was going on.
“I anhor violence. Give up and we can do this qietly and without incident!” Rulnof said.
“I won’t go back! “Shalnof said. “You do not apear to have a choice. You are out numbered and out gunned. ” kozer said.
“You! “A man well dressed came out of the back room. “This is none of your concern!” Bezrek said. “I should say it is! This is my establishment ! “The owner berdirit said. “Our charter supercedes every thing!” Rulnof said.
“Your order has no right to operate hear. This is soveregn space not under your ‘organization’ pervue!” Shalnof declared. “I have always believed might makes right!”rulnof said. “We have the might!” Kozer said. His ilk agreed.
“I won’t do it! I won’t go back!” Shalnof said. “It is not up to you!”bezerek said. “It never was!”qoovik said.
“I won’t go with you!” Shalnof said. Rulnof went for julrilia. He held a phaser to her head. She had a terified look. The guest screamed.
“Please ! I won’t have violence in my establishment !”the resturant owner declared. “You have no say in this! I do not have a say in this! Only shalnof does!” Rulnof said.
Jurilia looked really scared. She had no idea about violence. She grew up on a farm. She had barely seen a phaser let alone hold one. She was a bit of an idealist,a dreamer. She never expected this.
“I will schoot! I won’t lose any sleep over it. ” rulnof said. She looked to shalnof.
Jack watched the whole thing.he had no idea what was going on. He did not know how to procede.he was not sure if he should procede.
“Who are these people! Jack?” Bevily asked. “They are called the telcrit mining group. They control a remote area of the betta qudrent. It has imense resources but it is far away from any of the major powers. The planets were all pre warp. Some were pre industerial. This mining guild seized the telcrit solar system and moved there entire operation there. They created a security force witch was a well equiped army. They even recruited former soldjers even generals and admiral from other planitary aliences. “He said.
“So they are not a real sate?” Bevily asked. “No! No government recognizes them. No one has oposed them either. They win by default. They are too far away from star fleet and the federation. We have no way to put presure on them. “Jack said.
“That man is kaverien. The kaveriens are no where near the tulcrit sector. How did he caught up in this ? “Bevily asked.
“I think that we are deeling with a 24th century version of being shanghaid. “Jack commented.
“They are kidnapping people from far off places and making them work the mines. Iligal sencient trafficking. Slave labor. Most likely some government oficials are bribed or they just turn a blind eye. “She said.
“They don’t like esapes. Even if one person esapes,they won’t stop until they are caught. They thrive on fear!” He said.
“Will the adariens alow these slavers to just extract this man?”bevily asked. “I don’t know !”jack said.
Shalnof went for rulnof. Jurilia tried to get away. One of the thugs took out there phaser and aimed it at her. Jack ran and slammed bezerek to the wall. He grabed the phaser and aimed it at him.
Kozer had rushed to jurilia’s position and aimed a phaser at her. “Don’t move !”kozer insisted. Bevily ran and drove the thug to the ground. She grabed the phaser. She aimed it at him. “Don’t think about it?” Bevily admonished kozer.
Suddenly jack was serounded. “Its not worth it!” Rulnof said. “I don’t like slavers!” Jack said. “I don’t like terans!” Rulnof said. “Put it down!” Qoovit demanded.
“Do it! I am not worth it! I don’t want bloodshed. This is not your fight!” Shalnof told him. Jack threw the phaser on to the floor. One of the thugs picked it up.
Bevily stil had a phaser aimed at bezerek. ” Ok teran order your friend to drop the phaser and release my asociate!”rulnof demanded. “Its ok bev. Let him go!”jack said. She released him and droped the phaser. “Very wise!”rulnof said.
“Who are you?” Rulnof asked. “I’m Wesley youngblood i am a murchent currently living on alpha cinaris. I am hear on business !”he said. “This one your business partner?”ilvic asked. The orthers laughed. “After a fashion !”jack said.
“We have compony. It is the adaren security ministry!” Bezerek said.
Rulnof thought quickly. The man took the perimiter of the resturant including the egreses. They pointed there weapons at the staf and patrones. Qoovit and ilvic stuned random guest. There was screams.
“Ok every one! I am taking control of this establishment. You are all hosteges. If we die you die!” Runlof said.

Isn’t it romantic part two

“Personal log,it has been said that the life of a starship captain is a lonley one. Manny starship commanders opt not to get maried. There are some who seam to be maried to there ship.”
“There was a time,not that long ago that families were not permitted on a star fleet ship. That complicated things. Now that families are alowed and in the galaxy program are encouraged,it creates new posibillities.”
” even for spauses that are also in the service,it can be a sacrifice. That can be lost on hard headed men like me. It had not always been easy on bev.sometimes i feel like i got the better part of thd bargain. I don’t know how she would react to that question. I would never ask her that.”
“I cannot not comerate a weding anaversery. I don’t want to.i really hope this one will be without incident but as a starship captain even at a port of call,that might not be viable. Time will tell i supose. ” Captain jack crusher said in his log.
Dr. Crusher completed her shift in sickbay. She made arangements with her staff. Then she left sickbay.
She droped off the kids at miss Gladstones. She headed back to her quarters. She got changed from the star fleet blue medical uniform to civilian clothing.
The door opened it was jack. He hugged and kissed her. “Are we stil on?”she asked. “Of course we are. Nothing is keeping us from this!” He assured her.
“No problems from the romulons. No assana build up. No jirendra or any other agresive species!”bevily said. “None that i am aware off. ” Jack said. “Alright. I would love foe us to have just one day to ourselves . Just you and i. A day of just enjoying each orthers compony. A day without an incident from some agresive species bent on universal domination.” She said.
“I will do my best!” He told her.”ok ! that will have to be suficient. “Bev said. ” I think bill understood that i was not to be desturbed except in a dire emergentcy.”jack said.
“How did you define dire emergemtcy?” Bevily asked.”the enterprise exploding!”jack said.”you made that clear to the commander?”she asked. “I did!”he answered. “Ok i trust you. I think!”she said.”it will be fine. We will have a nice romantic getaway. I book a room at one of the best hotels on the planet!”he said. “We are going to run into the klaysrtone.ambassador are we not?” She said.”no well we might but no  business or diplomacy i promise!”he said.  “Alright i will hold you to it!”she said laughing.
“I booked dinner at one of the best resturant on the planet. It is going to be really good. You will forget your loving husband is a starship captain!”jack said. “I hope so!”bev said.
They got there bags packed. Then they excited the qurters walking hand in hand. They headed to the transporter room.
The two entered. “Coordinates are set sir!”the chief said. The two steped on to the transporter pad. “Enerzize chief!” Jack ordered. The team beamed off of the enterprise and on to the planet.
“Doctor’s log. Personal entry,it has not always easy being the wife of a starship captain. There is the constent fear that something might happen. While star fleet mission are peaceful,things can occur. There are expectations on the part of orthers. As a captain’s wife and a medical doctor,it can get complicated. ”
They walked to thr front desk. “Reservations for crusher!” He said. “Uh yes mr. Crusher we have been expecting you. “The desk clerk said.
“Mr. Crusher!”bev said. “I kinda like that. Its nice to be titleess for a while !” He said. They laughed.
They checked into there rooms. Then they went to the resturent they were escorted to there table.
“I got something for you!”jack said. “Oh?”she said. He pulled out a box. She opened it. “Oh my its beutifull!”she said. “The murchent i got it from on tridex said it was a rare mineral on a distent planet. That part i don’t know. I like it it brings out your eyies. “He said. She smiled.
“I got something for you!”she said. She handed him a box. He opened it. “It is a warp coil! Its from the first federation starship enterprise. He saw something else. It was a picture of them on there first date. “Where did you find this?” He asked. “Nana held on to it. I left it on caldos the last time i was there. She held on it!” Bev said.
“If you had it to do over again ? Knowing what you know ,would you have stil said yes? “He asked.she took his hand. “Without hesitation!”she said.
“I know it has not been easy. In the early days we were seperated a lot. I was off patroling the nutral zone,you were at some intergalatic hospital. I have not always been the most romantic. Half the time i have no idea what i was doing. Sometimes i still don’t. “Jack said.
“Jack i would not trade these 17 years for anything. I meen that. I love you more every day. “Bev said.
“You don’t regret it?” Jack asked.”not at all!”she said.” I just wanted to make sure. I never ment to sacrifice my relationship with you for my carer!” Jack said. “I know that. “Bevily said. 
“This weekend,no work. I am john r crusher private citizen. No star fleet,no captain. If the t’zrncafe made an incursion into federation space its bill’s program!” He said. She laughed.
Outside the resturant
A man walked though the streets with a date. “You have never been hear before ? ” the female asked him. “No i have not. This is my first time in this sector !” He said. “You don’t leave your home space much?” She asked. “I did not. Now i intend to see the galaxy well this side of it of it anyways!”he said.
“I knew you were an adventuer! I could tell!” She said. “I use to be i gues. Now not so mutch. I just want to settle down somewhere. I don’t know where!”he said.
“Not hear ?”she asked. “It ia a beutifull planet. I would like to go further away. “He said.”i see! any reason why!” She asked. “It is very complicated. “He said.”oh i see!” She said.
The two headed into the resturant that jack and bevily were inside. They had reservations as well. They were led to a table near where they were.
What neither the man or his date knew was that they were being watched. This created the potential that jack’s promise of a qiet uneventful dinner for two might be in jepordy.

“Isint it romantic”

“Captain’s log,the enterprise has arived at the planet adar four. Apearently star fleet is concerned that there may be a design flaw. The staf at adar shipyard have agreed to perform a diegnostic. While chief engineer argryile believes this may just be star fleet being an overbearing planet,he feels it is worth looking into. ”
“This alows a layover and shoreleave. Adar is known as a peaceful and beutiful planet. On a personal note,this is the 17th weding anaversery of myself and my wife bevily. ” Captain jack crusher said in his log.
Engineering
“Captain this is totally unesisary!” “Chief engineer argyile said. “I understand that chief but star fleet has put a lot of time efort and energy into this. They want a return on there investment. “Jack said.
“This is the finest ship ever built in federation history. “Argyile said. “I understand your concern chief. It will be fine! They are not questioning your work!”he said. “I know !”he said.
Jack left engineering. He saw his wife bevily. He kissed her. “How is argyile?”bevily asked. “Like he lost his puppy! ” jack said. “I am not surprised ! He takes any critism of this ship as a personal insult. “Bevily said. “Well this is a special ship. “She said.”can’t disagree there!”jack said. “I’m sure it won’t be a big deal!”she said.
“Yea! Look bev i was thinking that we could go on a romantic getaway to the planet. Wes and less are at away. Mis Gladstone said she will watch the orther kids. “Jack said.
“John r crusher please tell me this is not one of your schemes?”she said. “What are you talking about?”jack said. “On our third weding aniversery you booked a room at a hotel where you knew the protical officer for the t’zencafe consul to casperia prime would be so you can start up a conversation. On pacifica you had us go to a park at the same time as a tholien was known to be at. Let not even mention the time you had us go to a night club sponsered by a gatherer. “She said.
“Ok so i have had a less then steler record on aniverseries.i promise this is not a cledestine mission or diplomatic overture. It is simply a romantic getaway with my beutiful bride!”jack said.
“I don’t totally believe you but i think its sounds great. When do we leave?”she asked. “I need to touch base with bill but two houers?”he said. “Sounds good. If a furegi generals shows up i am not dancing with him!”she said. “Ok deal!”jack said.
They hugged and then dispersed. Bevily laughed. While she perfered no alien rebels or non aligned diegniteries but she would go with it. She did love jack. She knew that came with the teratory. She had acepted it. She found it some what endearing.
Jack hoped that he could make this totally work free. He hoped that for a few hours it could just be just the two of them. Nothing else. He knew in his line of work that was not always possible. He hoped this time it would. No one never knew.
