Mystery ship part three

“Captains log,we have discovered wreckage from what appears to be a federation ship. The odd thing is that there is no records of any federation starship being in this area. what is even more unusual is that the vessel is one that was never built so far as anyone is aware. ”

“I am confused. This was a design you came out with. It was never built?”captain crushed said. ” that is correct !” argyile said.
“Please tell me more chief! “The captain ordered. ” of course. It was twenty years ago. I was assigned to star fleet engineering division of starship development. ”
“It was a crossroads of sorts for the federation. While at the time we were technically at a time of hostility with the Klingon empire. It was more informal then anything else. The federation and the Klingon had little or no interaction at the time .”
“The federation had returned to it’s roots. It was buisy exploring the unknown. The fleet was aging. Star fleet wanted a new fleet. ”

Argyile was a lt. Jr grade. He was there with several orther  Jr officers.
“Alright people! Star fleet wants to expend our deep space probe of the galaxy. We want to continue to bodily go where no one has gone before. To do that we need a new generation of starship. We want you all to come up with designs for a new starship. We want your best idea !” admiral Iverson said.
“There were several of us who ‘re chosen to design a starship.this included some of the future stars of the fleet. We all worked hard.
“We want your very beat ideas. You could be shaping the future of star fleet. “Commander Anthony Haftel said.
Outside.
“Orphil why do I think you have half a ship already in your mind?”a younger argyile asked. “I do. I assume you do too!”lt. Orphil qunqeros said. “Heck I have a whole ship in mind. “Argyile said. “I a not surprised !”he said.
“I spent mounths on it. Many a sleepless night. I was so excited to work on it. Ideas kept coming and coming. When I had completed the project, I was excited to present it to star fleet. ”

The model was brought in. The table cloth was removed. “Ladies and gentleman I give you the u.s.s. Argonauts. The argonaught is eauped with a sansor array independent from all other sysisyom. The vessel is designed for long term exploration. The vessel will have a maximum warp speed of warp 9.2. The vessel only needs a crew of fithteen. The computer will control most ship’s syistoms. ”
“I have decided to model the ship after vessels before star fleet . the ship’s are striped down. There are few amenities. This will free up power consumption. This will alow us to cover more ground. ” argyile said.
“Why go striped down,why not go big?”commander haftel asked.”I believe I have gone big. This ship will be fast and efficient.”argyile said.
“I understand that lt but in a long mission, is not a crew entitled to some amenities?”admiral lesitor asked.
“Star fleet missin do require some sacrifice. It serves a greater good I believe. It will make history. Of that I have no doubt. “The chief enginer said.
They asked a few more questions. He really thought that they would love his idea. After the questions time he knew that they were not going to chose his.
His good friend lt. Qinceros did not fare much better with his idea either. His idea was a large vessel. It could be characterized as a dread naught. His ship did not have a crew. It was a living . totally contoled by a.I.
“Lt. Argyile we like your idea. It is very impressive. It is not what we are looking for.we are looking for a luxury liner in space. Basically a city ship. A place for families. We want to have the maximum amenity given the desired duration of such a mission. “The admiral said.
“The ship is impressive but it is just not what we are looking for this misson. “Commander haftel said.
“Lt Qinceros we really  liked your idea. We are looking at manned operations right now. Whoever we do want to use some of your designs and technology in our new starships that are about to come down are road!”admiral lesitor said.
“They chose a starship called the universe class .the vessel was designed to be big and glorias. The vessel went though several changes. The vessel would be eventually the galaxy class. ” the chief said.
“What happened to your ship design?”the captain asked. “My designs went into my private archives.  The one I submitted to Starfleet probably is in memory prime. “He said.
“Could an alien race have stolen the blue prints and built there own version of it?”rycer asked. “It seams far fetched but I gues it is possible. “The chief said.
The captain could tell when his first officer had an idea.he got very quet. He tended to stroke his celeb shaven face. “Sir! What if there was a reality in witch your design was accepted and became part of the fleet?”the first officer asked.
“Are you talking parallel universe Bill?”the engineer asked. “The possible world’s theory dates that if an event happened in one universe,there has to be one in witch the opposite occurred.we know alternate realities excite. The enterprise under captain Kirk encountered an alien named lazerous and his counterpart. Then there was the universe in witch the federation was an intergalactic empire. There may be more realities. This could be one of them.” the commander said.
“You really think that there is a universe that my ship was used in the fleet?”argyile asked. “If you believe the possible world’s theory  there would have to be. “Jack said.
“Alright let’s say there is a universe where the argonaught existed . How did it get hear?” the chief asked.
“The situation with the two Lazarus was caused by some kind of disturbance. The encounter with the mirror universe was caused by an ion storm. It could have been brought hear. “Bill said.
“I have heard that it has been said that there is a way to scan quantum signatures. “The captain said. “Yes I know the technique.”the chief said.
“Get with Mr. Data. Check the debris quntrum signature. If we can verify that it is from another reality. Then we can try to determine how it got hear!”Jack said.
“If it is from another reality. I wonder was it destroyed hear or in it’s reality of origin!”the chief asked.
“It could be an important question in all of this!”the captain said.
Planet
Jack emerged on the planet. He went over to where a team was. The team included the chief engineer and the android commander. “Sir! We have concluded the scan of the ship”s quantum signature. We have determined that it is from a separate reality. “Data reported.
“That explains that. Now we have one mystery solved. It has Springed  several more. ” Jack said.
” I want to scan the General vicinity for  any sign of an inter-dimensional  instability. I want to find the source of this incursion. I want the Debra brought to the ship. I want to get underway as soon as possible!” Jack ordered. The crew agreed.

Lt. Qinceros is the future commander Qinceros. He was the commander of the starbase in “100001” the episode with the bynars. He was played by gene dynansky who also appeared in tos episodes,”muds women”and “Mark of gideon “the name Orphil was not mentioned or air. It appeared in the star trek the next generation companion. They probably got it from the script.
Commander haftel is the future admiral haftel. He was seen in “the offspring ” he was played by Nicholas coaster best known for his role on the soap Santa Barbra. In the episode he commanded the daystorm annex.
The events of the original series are the same in this reality. All of the events are the same until the death
Of crusher or Picard in this case.

“Mystery ship ” part two

“Captains log,while conducting a routine probe of an uncharted reigon,we have discovered the last thing we ever expected to. We have located what appears to be degree from a federation starship. No starships to my knowledge has ever been hear or near this area”Jack said.
Bridge
“We are now in orbit!”lt. Gordi laforge announced. “Asuume standered orbit Mr.laforge !”Jack ordered.
The blind pilot who saw though a device called a visor took the ship into orbit. “Now in standard orbit captain!”He reported.
” captain! The planet is clas m,oxygen and nitrogen. “Data reported.
“Bill assemble an away team!”Jack instructed his seccond in command “aye sir! “Rycer said.the first officer got up from the chair in the command horse shoe. “Data,yar.Deana,gordi,worf with me.” the executive officer said. The officers mentioned got up . they followed the first officer. They headed to the turbo lift.
The commander taped on his communicator. “Rycer to engineering!”he said. “Go-ahead! “The chief said. “Chief prepare an engineering team. Have them meat me in transporter room two. “He said .”you got it commander!”the engineer said.
The first officer and the away team entered the turbo lift. They excited the bridge. The door closed.
Engineering
The chief engineer called the Iner circle to the center of the room. “Ok Ravi you have command of the engineering section while I am gone! ” the chief said.
His number two was a bit surprised.”your going to the planet?” the Indian man said.”let’s see,debree from a federation ship in a remote area . an area never explored by the federation not even a probe. This could be a huge mystery. Yes I am definitely going to the surface. ” the chief said.
After that the asustent chief backed down. He Had learned the ques from The head of the engineering department. He knew when the chief had made up his mind. He knew when to back down. There was no way the chief was sitting on the side lines. Not this time.
“Alright! Schimota,Hudson. Bradford Donaldson and Townsend with me. “Argyile said. They followed the chief.
Transporter room.
The chief and his team entered.the first officer had a wide smirk on his face. The chief had learned that when the commander had a wide smile that a joke at your exspence was coming. It was always in good fun. Even if you did bot want to,you would laugh right along with it.
“Your stil hear! “Bill said. Argyile was a bit confused. “Excuse me?”the engineering officer asked. “I was under the impression that you could not excist outside engineering. I thought that you would disappear the moment you set foot outside . “the first officer said.
“Funy Bill!”he said in response. “Sir my records sate he is a human. His ability to excise outside engineering is not in qyestione. I have seen him multiple times in orther parts of the ship and off the ship. “Data said.
Deana starting laughing. Bill thought to himself about how he loved her laugh. Deana looked at him.he was a bit emberised. Sometimes he forget that she could read his thought. Even now it took him by surprise.
“Well this mystery is not going to solve itself. Lets do this!”the commander said. They went up to the transporter pad. “Read when you are sir!” transporter chief Ryder said. “Enerzize chief!” Bill said.
The chief activated the controls. The team were beamed off of the ship. They materialized on the surface.
“Ok fan out!”the baby faced commander said. The team moved around. There was debre everywhere.
The debre was the standard coller of a federation vessel. One of the peases had the delta style insignia with a circle.
“No doubt it’s star fleet !”data commented. “Or made to look star fleet!”gordi suggested. “Why would ant one fabricate debre?”The android said “it seams unlikely whoever nothing should be ruled in it or out at this point!”security chief yar remarked. “She is right everything is on the table until it can resonibly be dulled out. Data if you qoate Holmes so help me I will scoot you!”Bill said.
“Commander there is no need to resort to violence . if you wish me to refrane from making such a quotation all you need to do is ask!” data said. No one did not laugh at that.
“It is defineny some kind of plasma based weapon that brought this ship done!”worf said.
“I am detecting multiple plasma impacts.”yar reported. “I am detecting what could be evidence of an explosion from some kind of spacial charge. “Engineering officer Hudson said.
“The charges appear to predate the other impact!”the Klingon reported “so the ship was hit by a major impact from a charge. Then the ship was hit by plasma cannons or something similar. “Enginer Jim  schimota said. “A responsible hypothesis!”data said.
The team did visual anylises as well as recorder scans. Lt. Bradford saw call letters.
“Commander! I have something!”the female engineering officer said. The commander came over.
“Call letters, nx 4000.”she said. “Commander I am well versed In star fleet starships and there is no nx 4000 ever launched !”data said.
“I am well versed with federation starship history myself. An n x  notation denotes experimental starship. I think I would have heard of it. I know Mr. Data would have!”Bill said.
” you said nx 4000?”Argyile asked “yes sir!”Bradford said.”what is it chief,”Bill asked.”not sure yet commander. “He said.
The team looked at other wreckage. One of the team found another clue. “I have something.u.ss Argonauts. “Hudson said.
Aygyile was stunned.”no it can’t be?this is not possible! “The chief. Said. “What it is chief?” the first officer asked.
“The Argonauts was An idea I had. It never got off the drawing bored or the drawing pad in my case!”Argyile said. “What are you saying chiefs?”Bill asked. “I had an idea for a New design. I was bored so I designed the argonaught. I know how strange thus sounds.to my knowledge this ship never excited!” he said.

I have decided to have Rycer go by Bill in this reality. No real reason.just because it is different . Deana called him Bill in “naked now”and “haven” in some of the early poket book novels such as “ghost ship” .
Lt. Bradford is the female enginer In “home soul” to my knowledge she was never given a anime.Bradford is a name I came up with.
Jim schimota was assistant chief enginer in first hour long episode of tng “the naked now” he was played by Benjamin js Lund.
Hudson was an uncredited character seen in the background during the first two seasons. In the 1988 calender He was refered to as engineering officer Hudson. He was played by Dexter clay.
Townsend is a name I came up with. He is an engineer seen in “the child” he was played by dore Keller.
Ryder is the transporter chief seen in naked now,code of hournor,and haven. He was never given a name.he was played by Michael Ryder.

“Mystery ship”

Previously on star trek the Jack crusher chronicles.
The q a mysterious race is confused as to why there is no time line where Jack crusher did not die on an away mission. The q created one.
In this reality,it was Jean luc Picard not Jack crusher was killed.crusher rose to the rank of captain. It was crusher who rose to command the u.s.s. enterprise.
The asana invades a seemingly unimportant planet in federation space. The federation pushed the asana out. They discovered a mysterious device on the planet.
And now tonight episode.
U.s.s enterprise
Lt.commander argyile the chief engineering officer always got up at 0300. He showered ,eat breakfast and read the news feed from the core of engineers with a cup of coffee.
This was a morning ritual for the enginer .he then got ready.he made sure to arrive in the engine room before his senior day staf arrived.
He greeted the night staf. He got a report from the night watch duty officer. He went to his office. He wished that he did not share the office with the night supervisor.the overnight supervisor rearranged his desk. He never clean up after his Sun flower seeds.
He liked to hang out in his office before his shift oficialy begun.he tried to be all ready to go when day watch began.
Then the day operation staf began to arrive. Then the shift change accrued. He called the Sr staf to huddle near the engines. “Ok people! Our mission is mostly a scientific research mission. The area is remote and planets are pree warp. What is argyile rule of starship missions? “He asked.
Assistant chief enginer Singh rose up to answer. “A routine scientific research mission always end in a space battle!”Singh said .”yes it does ! I want to prepare for a battle .I know it’s coming!”the chief said.
Then they got to work. Things went smoothly. The chief ran a tight ship but he was jovial as well. He was well liked and respected. They knew what to expect. He expected much but if you delivered you receive high praise if you did.
Bridge
The day watch had taken over on the bridge as well. Lt. Commander data got right to work.he was at the science station. He scanned the area. After pain staking work he believed that he had found something.
He made sure. He checked and rechecked. More detailed scan revealed something  he never expected to find. He had the computer read an several times.
“Captain I believe I have found something of interest. Also quite a mystery. ” data said.
Captain crusher ,and commander Rycer got up from the command horse shoe and went to the aft part of the command center. “I have located matilic mass on the surface of am uninhabited planet.the aloys are consistent with star fleet construction materials. ” data said.
“That’s not possible! I thought this area has never been explored by star fleet?”lt. Gordi laforge remarked. “To my knowledge it has not! “Data answered. “You can confirm that it is a federation starship ?”rycer asked. “Yes commander I can. It is a federation vessel!”the android commander informed the first officer.
“We have a mystery on our hands!”Deana troy said.”indeed we do counselor. I don’t sapose you can Spence an physical echo from the crew?”Jack asked. “No that is not how my abilities work.” Deana told him. “I see!”he said.
“Can you determine the cause of the crash?”rycer asked.”I am detecting evidence of plasma biased weapons! It isd similar to Romulan design but is different. I think that we can rule out the Romulan.”data said.
“I think we need to probe it further ?”Jack suggested. “I have no objections captain!”Bill said. “Mr .laforge take us to the planet!” Jack ordered.  Enterprise headed to the planet.

Notes
Chief engineer argyile only appeared in two episodes. “Where no one has gone before ” and”datalore” his air time was fairly limited. That is not a lot of information on him. He was played by buf Yeager.
Asistent chief enginer Singh appeared in “lonely amount us” in that episode he was killed. Sense this is a different reality he need not necessarily endure that same fate.

“Captains log a surprise invasion of a seemingly insignificant colony deep in the heart of federation had taken several surprising turns. The federation fleet has engaged the asana occupation fleet. We have been able to give them a run for there money.”

“Sending order for surrender!” yar reported. “Do we send ground trops or do we wait for there response?”worf asked. The captain thought it over.
“Send ground trips to the outskirts. Have them stand by!”the captain ordered.
Outside the capital,ground forces from multiple ships emerged. They began to set up base camps. They followed the captain,s orders and did not engage.
Asana flagship
“We cannot get a hold of the emperor president . under naval law it is up to you!”the first officer told the commander.
“Can we gain the super hand?”the captain asked. “Without the wormhole,reinforcements will be days away. We have detected federation reinforcements. ” the tactical officer reported.
“Order the fleet to stand down. Get me the commander of the federation fleet.” the commander said.
U.s.s enterprise

“I have the commander of the asana fleet!”yar said. “On screen !”Jack said. Yar transferred the message to the Maine view screen.
“I have ordered my fleet to stand down captain. I wish to be able to withdrawal my forces from the planet and return to asana space!”he said.
“Captain you committed an act of war. I am not thrilled with just letting you go on your marry way . “Jack said.
“Do you really want a long drAwn out conflict over sn issue that is resolved?”he asked.
“You struck a world that was no threat to you. You really want to acuse me of being unreasonable?”Jack said.
“If you wish to continue the conflict I can. “The captain said. “I will allow your fleet to leave. Your fleet will leave under escort until you arrive at the border of federation space. Your personnel can leave the planet but the equipment stays. “Jack said.
“This is crazy!”the asana commander declared. “So is attacking and invading a planet you could not hold! Your government stil may face repercussions but that can be discussed at a later date. Willl you agree to my terms or do we resume the battle?”Jack asked.
“Very well! We will agree to your terms!”the commander said. “Good! We now know your people are capable of anything. We will not be ignorant of you captain. “Jack said.
The asana commander seamed annoyed by that last statement. He was hardly in a position to protest.he decided to let it go. The tramison was terminated.
On the surface,Dr.crusher,nurse zerberst and the rest of the medical team got right to work. The asana had been unable to use heavy artillery against the coliny ,they did plenty of damage with hand phasers and rifles.
There was damage to structures and to people. There was evidence of davisation especially in the capital citty.
“I wish I could have done more. I truly do. “Jack said. “You did what you could. Had you nit more of the colony would have died.”he said. “Perhaps but I don’t feel a sense of vistory. “Jack said.
“That will come later. When we rebuild. I a sure you we will. I figure we will be seeing more of you!”Robert said. “I am afraid so. Star fleet will want to take charge of asana technogy. “Jack said. “So much for the tiny colony that time forgot. “Robert said. “I feel bad for that. “Jack said.”we will make it work!”the governor said. “Of course!”Jack said .
“Argyile to captain crusher!”the chief enginer said. “Go ahead chief!”the captain said. “I need to see you right away and the governor. I think I know why the asana came hear. ” the chief said.

“The device is somewhere fuised into the planet. It cannot be removed at least not yet. “Argyile said. “What it is?”Robert asked. “We don’t know yet. We think that it might scan the time line! It is temperal!”argyile said. “That’s what they want!”Robert said. “It seams they do !””Jack said.

Under star fleet poetical,when there are more then one ship involved in a situation,the commander of the largest vessel commands the mission. In the absence of the enterprise,the next in line was the ambassador class vessel horatio. With crusher gone,captain walker keel was in command.
“Captain! Incoming message from the enterprise, they are about to procede. “The tactical officer said. “Ok order the fleet to stand by. It is almost time!”keel said.
Planet coustea

“Sir! The order just came in !”Lois said. “Send the planetwide order. There is no turning back now. “It will be a shamefull matter for the king if these men die badly'”Robert said. “Funy I don’t think I have ever heard you quote Shakespeare. “Lois observed. “It seams to apply.maybe Jean luc rubbed off on me more then I want to admit!”Robert said.
All over the planet,the rebellion began in Ernest. The population of the colony staged massive protest of the occupation. While the protes were non violent,the people involved knew that the response of the occupation force would be anything but.
While the occupation had been benevolent,the comfortable of slavery was still slavery. The asana were erratic.they were unstable. They were whimsical. They were touchy. The most inconsiqencial act of unintentional disrespect could be misinterpreted as an insult and be answered with disporticional retribution. The ovulation had to be dealt with now.
In orbit the enterprise went to  maximum warp. The vessel used the gravity of the secondary Sun to be propelled to the planet. It took percison flying by gordi. While word at one of the science station activated the em pulse data and yar had designed.
The pulse eminated to all corners of the planet. The enterprise then got out of the way. It went to warp. The ship left the orbit of the planet quickly.
Government complex
“There is a massive indirection all over the planet!”the second in command informed Keriek. “I sm declaring a planet wide insurrection…”the leader said. Before the admiral termed emperor and military governor could get out the rest of his order,the room went dark.
Keriek was very angry at this development. “Report!”the admiral demanded. ” excelentcy! The power is off line. I believe it may be planet wide!”a tech reported.
How could this have happened? The admiral was astonished. They had believed they considered every contingent. What they had not factored in there evasions was the creativity of an android lt commander named data.
All over the planet the power was out the rebellion was In full swing. The occupation force was overwhelmed . This was only the beginning.

“The Planet is almost totally dark Sir. Mr. Data ‘s plan appears to be sucesfull. “Yar reported. “Did you doubt me lt?”data said. “No! Of course not commander!”she replied. 
“Tasha send to fleet command,move in !”Jack ordered.”sending now!”the eastern European female tactical officer responded. She quickly sent the order to the u.s.s horatio.

“We are instructed to go In!”the tactical officer informed the captain. “Order the fleet to move out! The time is now!”keel said.
The ships moved out. The fleet had everything from frigates to ambassador class. The fleet was impressive. So was the asana.
Asana flagship
“Federation fleet is moving out. They are heading on a direct intercept course for us!”the sandor tech reported.
“Break formation. Intercept that fleet!”captain hirjez ordered. The ship broke formation.the asana ship plotted an intercept course of there own. The two fleet headed straight for each other.
The u.s.s renegade got off the first shot. The frigate fired a full volley of photon torpedoes. The torpedoes smashed into the nearest enemy warship. Two warship fired on the renegade. The Thomas pain dodged there fire. The renegade narrowly escaped a fire ball.
The battle was in full force. Both sides engaged the orther. Both sides inflicted heavy casualties on the orther.
A New orlions class vessel was sliced In half by a asana warship. The vessel then exploded. The warship was hit by the hood.
On the planet,the asana could nit use there ground based mistle or there air based vessels or equipment. Using hand phaser and rifles they did just as much damage. They shoot anything that was not asana. They used there weapons at budings.it was not as efficient as bombs or mistles but it worked.
It was not as deadly as it could be. It was deadly enough. As an early 21st century earth professor Seth widgets on observed ,”dead was dead” unfortunately there was plenty of that.
Thanks to chief argyile a dampening field was established. It stoped at least temporarily any more ships coming though via a wormhole.
This was the first battle waged by star fleet since the timed incident in the early days of the 24th century. The federation may be a little rusty but was ready. The federation and enemy forces were just about evenly matched.
The federation had home field advantage. They knew the terrain. This was there home. This was personal.the colony was family. Though many of the crew had no ties to the commonest,none of that mattered.
Several ships had been destroyed. Many more were damaged. The star fleet had taken out several
Of the enemy as well.
“We have to get pass the enemy lines. Order all ship’s to get pass the battle lines. The uss renegade tried to get pass the blockade. The vessel went up and down. The shipping though. Several ships followed though.
The asana fleet was overwhelmed. The enterprise headed to the Planet. Several ships headed to the enterprise. Several scout ships covered them.
“Send to enemy fleet! Order them to surrender!” Jack said. He hoped that the asana would not be fool hardy. There was no way they could hold this world. That did not mean they would just Give it away.this could get berry bloody very fast. The ball was now in the asana’s court. What would there next move be?

Jack of all trades part five

“Captains log,it seams that my life is coming full circle. Several years ago I lost a friend and colegue captain Jean luc Picard.back then I spoke to his brother . now once again we are coming face to face. ”
“I am not sure witch part of this mission I am dreading more. Facing the asana fleet or facing colony governor Robert Picard ”
In the cave,Robert headed into the light. Robert looked Jean luc over.they had only met once. Both had left a lasting impression on the orther. ”
Jack looked over Robert.he looked older.it was the same man. “Governor Picard! It has been a long time?” “Jack crusher said. “It has captain. I see you have been promoted. “The governor  observed. “Yes I have”Jack said.
Jack found it very uncomfortable.  He got where he was because of Jean Luc’s death.  When Jean luc Died,Jack was given command of the u.s.s stargazer.   Then after the. Stargazer was lost and presumed destroyed , despite a. Brief sebatical. From. Starship command.,Jack. Became. Prominent on the short list of potential commanders of a galaxy class starship. And eventually captain of the enterprise d.  Jack felt that had Picard lived he would. Probably. On the short list to command the enterprise.
“I wondered if you might be the one to show up. “Robert said. “We don’t take kindly to incursion into our space. We especially do not invasion. This seams like s job for the flagship of the federation. “Jack told him.
“The asana took no chances. They brought a heavily armed fleet. My people were discrete but thorough. “Robert Saud.

“I am a farmer. A vineyard grower. I never wanted to be a politician or sn administrator. I wanted a new challenge. Lois hear convinced me to go along with this crazy scheme. Now I am left with an awfull choice. Virtuel slavery or mass casualties. Most of the colonest have been with the project from it’s very inception. Some were friends of my one I knew sense my chimdhood. Others have become friends really family . sense we arrived I have seen kids become young adults marry and have kids of there own. After several strategy seasons and other discussions,the crew headed back to the scout craft.

“Jean luc was one if those people you never quite get over. If he were hear he would probably quote Shakespeare. Lois I know my responsibility. I know it is your people that will do most of the dying. I don’t look into that lightly. “Jack said.

Planet Cousteau
The asana military was everywhere. They had set up checkpoints on nearly everywhere corner. Things were quiet eerily so.
The human colonest were watching. They were taking mantle notes. They were learning all they could about The military deployments. They would act when the time was right.
The governor and his i her circle were in a cave. “We got more information. The citizens are helping imensly.”Lois said.
U.s.s enterprise
“Captains log,the enterprise has randevezed with much of the federation fleet. Manny are some of the best commanders in the fleet. Many are those I know well. ” Jack said in the log.
In The conference room was captain’s of multiple ships. This included captain walker keel of the u.s.s horatio. Also there was captain Robert desoto of issues. Hood. There was captain tails Scot of the renegade. There was captain rix off use Thomas pain and others.
“The asana have already started to fortify the planet. They are getting ready to construct an orbital base. They are multiple regiments of combat and security forces on the planet. We have limited contact with the planet. “Jack said.
“Sence we are all hear,I assume star fleet plans a direct assault?” keel asked. “We can probably take back the planet fairly easily. I suspect they plan to enploy a gurila total war. They will make it as uncomfortable as possible  with a staggering loss of life amoung civilian and star fleet troops. “Captain Scot said.
“Agreed! It will be bloody. Perhaps the bloodiest confrontation the federation has since the Klingon conflicts in the last century. Perhaps far worse. That is why I want to attempt a different tactic first. “Jack said.
The commanders listened intently to the captain who was basically in charge of the fleet. “There is a moon called Tolkien . half of the moon is virtually hidden from sansors. I want to Use the magnetic field of the moon to propel the enterprise to the colony. We can hide inside the secondary Sun wich is no where near as bright as The primary Sun.we can make contact with the planet. We can sabotage there wormholes. Use it to our advantage!” Jack suggested.
“Why the enterprise?”captain rix asked. “Yes why not use one of the scout ships. Surely there is no reason to use the flagship of the fleet and the federation!  “Scot said.
“I want to make to make contact personaly with the governor and the planetary leadership. I want to assure them We have not not will we abandon them. No Czechoslovakia moment.no sudatonland. “Jack said
“I get that you want to send a message to the colonists. You could send me or the horatio. You would stil send a powerfull a message. “Captain desoto said.
“I understand your positions but I make it a point to never send a subordinate to do something I would not do myself. ” Jack said.
“We trust your commitment . Jack I am willing to do this and I know any one of us is!” captain keel said.
“The decision has been made walker. I understand that this is a but unnerving but so is a peacefull colony in the middle of no where deep in the federation being conqured. I am going!”Jack said.
Walker loved Jack like a brother.he had no desire to publicly take him to task or challenge his decision or his authority.walker decided to back off at least in public.
Captain desoto was not as close as keel was but both considered each other friends. In many ways desoto resembled his late friend Picard beyond the fact they were both French.
The meeting went into a briefing. Then after a while the captain ajurned the meeting . the starship commanders got up from the table. They started to disperse.
Walker stayed behind after everyone left. “You think I am making the wrong decision?”Jack asked. “You can fool the brothers Jack but not me. In your mind you failed Jean luc now you can’t fail Robert. Jack you can’t do everything on your own. Your not super man ! “Keel said.
“I could not save Jean luc,maybe I can save Robert and his family and the other colonest,”Jack said. “You don’t owe Jean luc anything . you don’t have to justify your continued existence. You did not sin by serving or having more kids. If he was hear he would smack you and tell you to smarten up. Jean luc wanted you to servive.he did nit consider his sacrifice a veign or empty one . you hournor his life and his sacrifice for living. “Keel said. “I know what I am doing walker. ” Jack said. “I hope for all our sakes you are. ” keel said.
The captain of the ambassador class vessel left the conference room. Jack stared out of the window . he tried to make sence of all of it.

“All decks are standing by!”bill said “very good!”Jack said .Commander rycer had little to say. Jack suspected that he had objections to it. Jack felt like this was an acceptable risk.
“Mr. Data Mr laforge let’s do it!”Jack ordered. The enterprise went to the moon. The ship bounced off the moon. The ship was pushed to a high speed. The ship landed near the minor Sun.”we have arrived at the destination “data reported.
“Lt. Yar prepare a security team but small compliment.”he ordered. “Aye sir!”she said. “We will ware civilian clothing. We will use the captains yaught.Bill you have the ship. “Jack said.
“May I speak to you in private?”Bill asked. “Of course !”he said. They went to a corner. “Sir you should not be going to the surface during basically a time of war. “Bill said. “It is critical I go. The planet must know we have not abandoned them.”he told him.
  “I could send that message just as pottently as you could!”Bill said.”perhaps but I am going to any where.” Jack said. “If you die ,I am putting you on report. “He said.”very well!”Jack said.

“The treaty of algeron bars the federation from building there own cloaking device. I can mask our signature.it won’t be fool proof but I beleve it can work. “Data said.”we Will make it work commander. “Jack said.
The two entered the private bay where the scout ship was bearfed. The two entered the craft. The ship launched.
The ship was able to land. The ship landed in a secluded area. Every colony had designated shelter areas. Data had it on file. They proceeded to the caves.
They encountered several of the governors body guards.” “who are you why are you hear?”the guard asked.
“I am from star fleet. I am looking for Robert Picard!”Jack said. A man came out of the shadows.”it has been a long time commander crusher. Excuse me captain. “Robert said.
He was older but it was the man he remembered. It was not easy to see him again. He had to keep his composure. They needed to work together.

The asana was able to overcome the orbital setilites.the asana quickly took over the space line.they controlled the stars above the colony.
“The space above the planet is under our control Excellency!”the tactical officer Informed the captain.
“Very good. This was the easy part. It is going to get a lot harder after this!”keriek ordered.
“We don’t run away from a challenge Excellency. “Captain duranible said. “That I know full well captain. Have all ships send ground forces. It is time to take control of this world. “Keriek declared.

“They have a lot of ships !”Louis said. “We cannot hope to stop this!”deputy chief of staf Lee Elson said. “No we do not. Our only hope is star fleet. Order our forces to fu back! We will try to hold out till star fleet arrives. No recistence but no active endorsement. “Robert Picard said.
The asana vessels beamed down ground forces. Forces also landed using trop transports. The crafts landed. The hatch opened and the marines quickly fled the ship. The marines had there phasers ready. They advanced into The citty.
On every street corner,there were The occupying force. The citizens were holed up in there Holmes.
The trips met almost no recidtence. The troops stormed in to the home of the governor.”the governor is gone. “One of the officers  Said to the unit  commander.
Against the wishes of his commanders,keriek Beemed down to the Planet. He went to the government building. “Welcome to the first asana protectorate that once belonged to the federation. ” major ferdkat said.
“Thank you. I wish to adres the population of this planet. ” keriek said. “Of course exclecently. “Ferdjat said. 
The leader went further into the complex. The leader was very happy of how it went. This was the opening salvo in an even bigger war. That he knew.
Robert did not like going into hiding. He felt he had no choice. They went into a cave complex. “I suspect that they are using some kind of dampening field. We have to try to have to get though there jamers.we have to lul the occupation force into a false Sense of security. “Robert said. “What if they never come?”an aid asked.”We will cross that bridge if it comes!”Robert said.

We have anaxed the planet Cousteau. We intend to hold it.we ask you not to try to retake it. If you do, you will be met with over whelming force. Keriek out!” keriek said.
The screen faided. “They intend to hold it?” the chief of staf chulek said.”do you beleve them to be sincere?”the president asked.”without sufficient  information  I beleve we have to assume that that the answer is yes!”admiral hildalgo said.
“I would agree! We will proceede with the plan to retake the colony!”the president said. They all agreed.
